Submissions of application:
In order to submit an application for selling at the fair, you must come to the office of Zehavit Elimelech, the pedestrian street management, at 38 Mohliver St., Tel Aviv-Yafo.
You must come with about 7-10 printed photos of the works you want to sell at the fair and fill out a registration form for the admissions committee.
The office is open every day except Thursday from 10:00 to 16:00
Admissions Committee:
The members of the admissions committee were appointed by senior municipal officials.
The members are: the representative of the arts department from the culture and arts division, the manager of the pedestrian mall, two senior external art consultants and the artists’ representative.
Acceptance criteria:
The admissions committee examines the products presented to it according to the following criteria anchored in the municipal procedure:
• The work presents an innovative idea
• The work presents a high artistic level
• The execution, the finish and the quality of the work at a high level, which takes into account safety technical solutions, which allow continuous and safe use of the product (unless the product is intended to be temporary and perishable)
• The work is manual – the entire process of creation is done by the artist, except for basic raw materials that will only serve as a basis for creation in the process
• The work will be a decisive and massive intervention that will artistically, skillfully and qualitatively change the raw material used as a basis for the artist’s work.
• The handwork will give expression to the unique artistic skill of the artist.
• The work is done in Israel only.
• The work will be sold by the artist only
Application mile stones:
The committee meets several times a year.
The committee’s answer is given in writing. Every craftsman receives an answer whether the answer is positive or negative.
Payment:
The sale in the pedestrian mall does not involve payment to the municipality. There is a mandatory fee paid once every two months that gives the artist a third party insurance and sharing in the security expenses at the fair. Payment is made through the fair’s artists association.
